St Paul's Junior High Preparation Programme
- Parental letters are sent to the pupils’ homes highlighting the details of ‘Walk to School’ week
- Notices are read out during Year Head assemblies informing pupils of this Travelwise initiative
- Teachers are sent ideas for ways in which they can promote the theme of ‘Save the Planet – One Step at a Time’ through their specific subject areas
Monday 19th May
- Form Teachers read notices during registration reminding pupils to try to walk to and from school this week
- Pupils begin to record their means of travel to and from school on the ‘WOW’ posters that were allocated to us from ‘Travelwise NI’
- Teachers make a separate record of those pupils who made an effort to walk to school – these completed forms were forwarded to me on Wednesday 21st May for certificates to be distributed to boys to be included in their Record of Achievements
Tuesday 20th May
Pupils in Years Eight and Nine participated in a sponsored walk around Lurgan Park
Wednesday 21st May
Today the whole school participated in Sports’ Day with a wide range of sporting activities organised
