<span class="summaryText"><p>St Dominic's held a Walk to School Day (the Big Walk) on Friday 23rd of May and invited pupils from Years 8-11 to participate. Over 100 pupils participated on the day. &#160;Those who lived far from the school were encouraged to select a meet- up point to walk from, for example those crossing the city were encouraged to walk from Belfast City centre to the school, those in West Belfast were encouraged to arrange a meeting point of class / walking group choice, with the length of the walk dependent on pupil age. </p>
<p>The school presented pupils with Big Walk Participation cards to acknowledge pupils' involvement in the event. &#160;The event was advertised in school (Pastoral Notice board) and on the front page of the school website (with both an advance notice of the event entry and a banner entry after the event to congratulate those pupils who had taken part in the 'Big Walk').</p>
