Simply team up with friends or colleagues who work with or near each other and who live in the same general direction.

Select a suitable meeting point on the outskirts of the city or where the route that’s common to each of you starts. Drive individually to a designated meeting spot, then share one car to drive into the city.

Take it in turns to drive the city leg of the journey. This will save you money on petrol as well as the tiredness associated with driving long distances every day.

You don’t have to park and share every day but when you do it will have an immediate impact on the number of cars driving your route to work.
