Walk to School Week 2010

Travelwise  would like to thank all schools who participated in the Travelwise "Go and Glow" - Walk to School Week 2010 challenge.  256 schools took part in the event which included more than 58,000 pupils across the region.  

Every year we hold a prize draw for schools who registered for Walk to School Week and who send us through evidence to be added to our on-line scrapbook (you can have a look at last year’s scrapbook at www.travelwiseni.com).  Photos, stories, or just an outline of what you did during the week can be sent to us for the scrapbook – this is a chance for your school to showcase to the world what you were doing during Walk to School Week 2010 and will help other schools become inspired when they see how easy it can be to walk to school.

Each school that provides this information will be entered into our prize draw to win a bike for the school – there will be 10 winning schools.  In addition, the school judged by our team to have shown the most innovative approach to promoting walking during the week will win a Travelwise time capsule and bike which will be presented at a ceremony at the school later in the year.

The closing date for submission for entry to the prize draw is 11 June 2010 and the winning school will be advised during week beginning 21 June 2010.  Entries can be sent to the address below or alternatively by email to info@travelwiseni.com
